My emails aren't arriving or go to spam

Check whether sending is paused, who was suppressed, and how healthy your list and domain look on the Deliverability page.

Open Newsletter, then Deliverability: it shows whether sending is paused, your complaint and bounce numbers, cold subscribers and your domain checks.

  1. Open Newsletter and click Deliverability.
  2. If you see Sending is paused, read the reason before clicking Resume sending. Sending pauses on its own when the 7-day spam-complaint rate goes over 0.1%, or when too many addresses in one send fail.
  3. Under Sender reputation, check Hard bounces (30 days) and Complaints (30 days).
  4. Under Cold subscribers, turn on Skip cold subscribers when sending broadcasts, set Consider a subscriber cold after (days), and click Save policy. To win them back, use Send a re-permission campaign.
  5. If you send from your own domain, check Domain authentication for SPF and DMARC marked Missing, and add the TXT record it shows at your DNS provider.
  6. To find one person, open Newsletter and filter by Bounced or Suppressed.

If this didn't work

  • One subscriber never gets anything: their address bounced or they marked an email as spam, so Facet stopped mailing them. Use Lift only if you're certain the address works and they want your email; re-mailing a bad address hurts your reputation.
  • Mail lands in spam for many readers: lots of subscribers who never open drag every send down. Skip cold subscribers (step 4). On Studio and Creator you can also send from your own domain, set up in Custom Email.

Facet can't see inside a reader's inbox, so it can't tell you whether one specific email landed in spam.
