Delete my site and account
Delete everything yourself from Account & Security, or from the cancel screen in Billing, with 7 days to undo. You don't need to email anyone.
You delete your site yourself, in the app, whether your plan is still running or has ended. After you confirm, you have 7 days to undo it. Access follows your current paid period or trial; asking for deletion does not extend it.
- Download what you want to keep from Export Your Data in Account & Security, and check the archive before you go further.
- Select Delete everything. You'll find it in Account & Security, and as Delete everything instead on the confirm screen when you cancel in Billing.
- Type your site's name and confirm. Your plan stops renewing. Charges already incurred and refund eligibility are unchanged. Your members' subscriptions are cancelled when deletion starts, and we email them to say so.
- Deletion starts 7 days later. Until then, Undo the deletion on the same page, or the link in our email, cancels the deletion request. Check Billing for your plan’s current status; an ended plan needs reactivation to go live again.
If your plan has already ended, your site rests on ice for 12 months: offline to visitors, private and intact. Sign in and choose Delete everything on the on-ice page; the same 7 days to undo apply. If you do nothing, we email you 30 and 7 days before the 12 months are up, with a free option to keep it on ice another 12 months. After that, it is erased. You can also ask for deletion at any time by emailing privacy@get-facet.com from your owner address.
If this didn't work
- You can't find Delete everything: only the site's owner sees it. Editors and viewers don't.
- You're still being charged: open Billing and check that a cancellation is scheduled and when it ends. Deleting your site sets the plan to end at the close of the period you've paid for.
- You aren't sure your export is complete: read its archive report and completeness.json before you delete, because a finished deletion can't be reversed.
Some billing, security and operational records may have to be kept after deletion, so don't assume every record is erased straight away.
