Try changes on a private copy of my site
A sandbox is a private copy of your live site you can redesign, then promote to live or discard.
Create a sandbox to work on a private copy of your live site, then promote it or throw it away.
- Open Sandbox and select Create sandbox.
- When it's ready, select Open sandbox and make your changes there. Only you can open it.
- Back on the Sandbox page, select Promote to live to replace your live site with the sandbox, or Discard to delete it. Your live site isn't touched until you promote.
A sandbox expires after 7 days. After you promote, the previous version of your live site is kept for 7 days.
If this didn't work
- You see "Promote blocked": members bought something or changed their account on your live site after you made the copy. Discard the sandbox, create a new one and redo your changes.
- You see "Your live site changed since the clone": promoting would discard the listed live changes. Select Discard these live changes and promote only if you're sure, or start a fresh sandbox.
Media uploads, emails, payments and integrations are switched off in a sandbox, sandbox copies cannot make AI calls, and Google login only works on your live site. Only the owner can use this page.
