Restore my site to an earlier point
Facet keeps restore points of your site's database; Creator owners can roll back themselves from Backups & Restore.
Every plan keeps restore points of your site's database: 7 days on Portfolio, 14 on Studio and 30 on Creator. On Creator, the owner can restore from Backups & Restore; on Portfolio and Studio, email us and we'll restore it for you.
To restore on Creator:
- Open Backups & Restore.
- Pick a point in the list of restore points. Points are at most 60 seconds apart while your site is changing.
- Read the summary of what will be restored, including any media files that no longer exist.
- Type your site name and the exact restore point where asked.
- Select Restore site.
Restoring replaces your whole live database. Facet saves a safety snapshot of the current state first, so you can undo a restore by restoring to that snapshot.
If this didn't work
- The point says "This restore point is unavailable": members bought something or changed their account since then, and restoring would lose it. Pick a newer point, or email us.
- You see "No restore points yet": points appear within a minute of your first site change. Make a change and check again.
Uploaded media isn't part of a restore: a file you deleted stays deleted. Only the owner can open this page.
