Reconnect a disconnected domain

Fix the DNS records Facet shows you, then select Reconnect domain in Settings > Domain. Your settings were kept.

When Facet disconnects your custom domain, your settings are kept: fix what the page says, then select Reconnect domain. Your site stays online at its facetcloud.io address meanwhile.

  1. Open Settings, then Domain. The page says why the domain was disconnected.
  2. Sign in where you manage DNS for the domain and check each record Facet lists. Use Copy next to each value.
  3. Select Reconnect domain. Facet checks the records again straight away and shows each one with what's wrong, if anything.
  4. Once the records are right, the security certificate usually arrives within 15 minutes, and the domain goes live again.

If this didn't work

  • The page says your plan no longer includes a custom domain: move to a plan that does in Billing, then select Reconnect domain.
  • There's no Reconnect domain button, and the page says our team is keeping the domain disconnected or your account is being reviewed: select Talk to Jed & Hannah on that page. Only we can reconnect it then.

Only the site owner can reconnect a domain.
