When and how do I get paid?

Buyers pay into your own Stripe account, and Stripe pays out to your bank on your Stripe payout schedule.

Every sale is paid straight into your own Stripe account, and Stripe sends the money to your bank on the payout schedule set in your Stripe account. Facet never holds your earnings.

To check what's coming:

  1. Open Monetize, then Stripe Connect.
  2. Under Balance, read Available (ready to pay out) and Pending (still clearing at Stripe).
  3. Read Payout History for each payout's amount, status and arrival date. Select Refresh Earnings to reload.
  4. Open Money overview to see your Next payout and the fees taken from a date range.
  5. To change your bank account or payout schedule, select Stripe Dashboard and make the change on Stripe.

What comes out of each sale:

  • Stripe's processing fee, roughly 2.9% + $0.30 per payment, set by Stripe.
  • On Studio, Facet's 3% platform fee on content sales, counted on the price after discounts and before tax. It stops for the rest of the calendar month once it reaches the cap, US$99 or about the same in your currency.
  • On Creator, no Facet platform fee.

If a buyer pays in another currency, Stripe converts it to your payout currency and deducts its conversion fee.

If this didn't work

  • No payouts appear yet: the account must read Active first, and Stripe decides when your first payout is sent. Check the date in your Stripe dashboard.
  • A payout shows Failed: Stripe couldn't reach your bank. Update your bank details in the Stripe Dashboard.
