Export my site's data

Download your content as JSON or YAML, or prepare a private ZIP archive with your database, rosters and uploaded files.

Use Export Your Data in Account & Security: JSON or YAML for quick content data, or a ZIP archive for the fuller copy.

  1. Open Account & Security and scroll to Export Your Data.
  2. For content data only, select Export JSON or Export YAML. These don't include uploaded files, and each collection is capped at 50,000 rows; the result tells you if anything was left out.
  3. For the full archive, select Prepare ZIP archive and confirm with your current password or second factor when asked.
  4. Wait while it prepares; this can take a few minutes.
  5. Read Latest archive report: it lists uploaded files copied or missing, media kept as references only, and JSON row caps.
  6. Select Download reviewed ZIP, then check your browser's download list.
  7. Open README.txt and completeness.json inside the archive before relying on it.

The ZIP adds a sanitized database snapshot, rosters, readable uploaded files, your Facet invoices and a guide to moving elsewhere. Course videos come as download links that work for 7 days; externally linked media is listed, not copied. It is not a runnable site or automatic restore, and the report's counts cover file fields and media lists, not every link embedded in your content. Keep your originals and test your migration before deleting your site. You can export while your plan is active, after you cancel, and while your site rests on ice: sign in and use Download everything.

If this didn't work

  • Prepare ZIP archive says you have to wait: one archive can be prepared per day (a failed attempt doesn't count), and each stays available for 24 hours. JSON and YAML still work in the meantime.
  • The report shows missing files: some uploads couldn't be read. Keep your original files and fix the missing media before you rely on the archive.

The ZIP includes member/team password hashes and personal data. Store it securely, never publish it, and never attach it to a support email. Platform credentials are removed.
