How do people subscribe to my newsletter?
Add an Email signup section to a Facet; visitors confirm by email before they count as subscribers.
Visitors subscribe through an Email signup section on one of your Facets, then click a confirmation link before they receive anything.
- Open Facets and edit the Facet where you want the form.
- Click Add section and choose Email signup.
- Pick the Email destination (the newsletter list new subscribers join).
- Fill in Heading, Description, Visitor consent and Privacy policy URL, tick the confirmation, then click Add to Facet.
- Open the Facet as a visitor and test the form with an address you can check.
- New sign-ups show on the Newsletter page under Unconfirmed until they click the confirmation link, then move to Active.
You can also bring in an existing list with Import CSV on the Newsletter page. Import only people who agreed to hear from you; imported addresses are added without a confirmation email.
If this didn't work
- Someone signed up but isn't in Active: they haven't confirmed yet. Ask them to look for the confirmation email, including in spam; the link works for 7 days. Signing up again doesn't send a second one while the first is waiting, and unconfirmed sign-ups are removed after 30 days.
- New sign-ups are refused: your plan's active-subscriber limit is reached (Portfolio 500, Studio 3,000, Creator 8,000). Cold subscribers don't count toward it, see Deliverability.
