Import subscribers from Kit, Mailchimp, Circle or a CSV

Upload a contacts CSV from your email tool or community; Facet updates existing people and never resubscribes anyone who opted out.

Export your list as a CSV, then import it as Subscribers with Kit, Mailchimp, Circle or Other (CSV) as the source.

  1. Export your contacts as a CSV from your email tool or community.
  2. In Facet, open Settings, then Import your work, and choose Subscribers.
  3. Under Coming from, pick Kit, Mailchimp, Circle or Other (CSV), and upload the file.
  4. If Facet asks you to Match your columns, choose which column holds the email and name.
  5. Select Preview (nothing is written) and read the report, then Import now.

If this didn't work

  • Facet asks you to confirm consent: tick it only if everyone in the file agreed to get emails from you. Students who only bought a course belong in Enrollments instead.
  • Rows show Skipped (plan cap): your plan's subscriber limit was reached. Compare plans in Billing.

Existing contacts are updated, never resubscribed: anyone unsubscribed stays unsubscribed, and an email listed twice counts once.
