Send my site's events to another app with webhooks

Add an https endpoint, choose events, and Facet sends a signed POST request each time one happens.

On Creator, add a webhook in Webhooks: Facet sends a signed POST request to your endpoint whenever a chosen event happens.

  1. Open Settings, then Webhooks, and select Create Webhook.
  2. Enter the Endpoint URL. It must start with https://.
  3. Under Events, choose what to send, for example Purchase completed, Course enrollment, Content published or Testimonial submitted.
  4. Save, then copy the Signing Secret. It's shown only once. Your receiver uses it to check the X-Facet-Signature header.
  5. Select Send Test to send one test delivery to your endpoint.
  6. Open Delivery History to see each attempt. Use Failed only to filter, and Send again to retry a delivery.

If this didn't work

  • Deliveries show Failed: your endpoint didn't accept the request. Check the endpoint's own logs and that it verifies the signature with the current secret, then use Send again or Send Test.
  • The webhook went inactive: Facet turns a webhook off after repeated failed deliveries. Fix the endpoint, then select Edit, tick Active and save.

A saved endpoint is not proof of delivery; check Delivery History and the receiving app before relying on it. Rotate signing secret makes a new secret and the old one stops working straight away, so update your receiver at the same time.
