Start a podcast
Set up your show and episodes in Podcast, or link a podcast you already host elsewhere.
Every plan can host a public show and its episodes in Podcast, or link a podcast you already host elsewhere. A members-only show needs Studio or Creator.
- Open Podcast and stay on Show settings.
- Fill in Show title, Description, Author, Category and Language, and add Cover art (a square JPG or PNG, 1400 to 3000px per side).
- Leave Members only off for a public show. On Studio and Creator you can turn it on so only members with an active subscription can listen.
- Turn on Published and click Save.
- On the Episodes tab, click New episode. Add an Episode title and an audio file or audio URL, plus Show notes and a Transcript, then click Save.
- For a public show, open your site's
/podcastpage and copy the feed under Subscribe. Add that feed to Apple Podcasts, Spotify or any podcast app.
Already hosting on Transistor, Captivate, Spotify or elsewhere? Paste the public show or RSS URL under External podcast feed, and Facet adds a Podcast link to your site that opens it.
If this didn't work
- Your
/podcastpage is empty. The show is either not Published or set to Members only. Members-only shows have no public page; each member gets a private feed link from their dashboard instead, and it stops working if their membership lapses. - An episode won't publish. It needs an audio file or URL first, or turn on Save as draft to keep it hidden for now.
