Add a quiz
Add a quiz lesson inside a course, or build a standalone quiz to show on your site.
There are two kinds of quiz: a quiz lesson inside a course, and a standalone quiz you show on your site, for example as a lead magnet.
For a quiz inside a course:
- Open the course and go to the Outline tab.
- In the module, click + Quiz.
- Give it a Quiz title, then click Add Question for each question. Types include Multiple Choice, True / False, Short answer, Ordering, Matching and File-upload assignment.
- Set Passing Score (%) and Max Attempts (0 = unlimited). Optional: Retake cooldown (hours), Question bank and Randomize Question Order.
- Click Save lesson.
Learners upload files for a File-upload assignment, and you mark each one Pass or Fail under Assignment submissions on the course's Learners tab.
For a standalone quiz:
- Open Standalone quizzes and click New quiz.
- Fill in Title and Slug, add questions (Multiple choice or True / False), and mark the correct answers.
- Choose who can open it, turn on Published, and save.
- Add a Quiz section to a facet to show it on your site.
If this didn't work
- The quiz won't save: every question needs question text and at least one correct option.
- A standalone quiz doesn't appear on your site: check it's Published and that a facet has a Quiz section.
Standalone quizzes can be free or for signed-in visitors or subscribers. They can't be sold on their own yet; put a quiz inside a paid course instead.
