Move from WordPress
Import your WordPress export file as draft posts, and your subscriber CSV from your newsletter plugin.
Download your WordPress export (.xml) and import it as posts; your subscribers come from your newsletter plugin or email service as a CSV.
- In WordPress, open Tools, then Export, choose Posts or All content, and download the .xml file.
- In Facet, open Settings, then Import your work, and pick WordPress under Switching from another platform?
- Select Import posts, upload the .xml, select Preview (nothing is written), then Import now. Posts land as drafts with their images, tags and excerpts.
- WordPress has no subscriber list of its own. Export a CSV from your newsletter plugin or email service, select Import subscribers, upload it, preview, then Import now.
- In Import history, use Add as redirects on the posts import so old links keep working.
If this didn't work
- Images are missing: Facet copies images from your old site while importing. Keep the WordPress site online, roll back the import and run it again.
- "The CSV has no email column": pick which column holds email addresses under Match your columns, then preview again.
Private and password-protected posts stay private. An unsubscribe or opt-out column in your CSV keeps those people unsubscribed.
