Give learners a completion certificate
Turn on Issue certificates and learners get a certificate automatically when they finish every lesson.
Yes. Turn on Issue certificates for the course, and each learner gets a certificate automatically when they finish all its lessons.
- Open the course and go to the Learner experience tab.
- Turn on Track student progress. Certificates need it.
- Turn on Issue certificates.
- Optional: set Certificates expire after a number of months (1 to 120). Leave it blank and certificates never expire.
- Save the course.
The certificate shows the learner's name, the course title and the instructor name, and anyone can check it at its public link. The completion email includes a View your certificate button. You can see who has one in the Certificate column on the Learners tab. Each learner gets one certificate per course.
If this didn't work
- A learner finished but has no certificate: certificates go out at the moment the last lesson is completed. Anyone who finished before you turned the setting on won't get one.
- Issue certificates can't be switched on: turn on Track student progress first.
An expired certificate still verifies, marked as expired. The instructor name comes from the Sales page tab; if it's blank, Facet uses your profile name.
