Cookie Policy
Last updated: July 2026
This Cookie Policy explains how Facet Cloud ("we", "us") uses cookies and similar technologies when you visit get-facet.com or use a site hosted on our platform. It should be read alongside our Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.
1. What cookies are
Cookies are small text files stored on your device by your browser. Similar technologies
include localStorage and sessionStorage, which store data locally
in your browser rather than sending it to a server. We use both, and describe them together
as "cookies" below.
2. Cookies we use
We use a deliberately small set of cookies. We do not use advertising cookies, cross-site tracking pixels, or third-party analytics that profile you across the web.
Strictly necessary
Required for the Service to function. These cannot be switched off without breaking core features such as signing in or completing a purchase.
- Authentication: When you sign in to your Facet account or member area, we store a session token so you stay logged in. Cleared when you log out.
- Stripe: During checkout, Stripe sets cookies to process your payment securely and prevent fraud. These are governed by Stripe's cookie policy.
- Cloudflare: Our CDN and security provider may set cookies (such as
__cf_bm) to distinguish humans from bots and protect the Service from abuse.
Preferences
Remember choices you make so the site behaves the way you expect. Optional, but the site is friendlier with them.
facet_locale: Stores your chosen display language so we can serve get-facet.com in it on your next visit. Expires after 12 months.facet_currency: Stores your chosen pricing currency. Expires after 12 months.- Theme preference: Your light or dark mode choice is stored in
localStorageon your device. It is never sent to our servers.
3. Consent
Under the EU ePrivacy Directive and equivalent rules, strictly-necessary and preference-remembering cookies do not require prior consent because you have requested a service that cannot be provided without them. Because we do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies, we do not display a tracking-consent banner. If we ever introduce non-essential cookies, we will ask for your consent first.
4. Managing cookies
You can control and delete cookies through your browser settings. Most browsers let you block or clear cookies for a specific site. Guides for the major browsers:
Blocking strictly-necessary cookies may prevent you from signing in or completing a purchase.
5. Changes and contact
We may update this Cookie Policy as the Service evolves. Material changes will be reflected by the "Last updated" date above. For questions about how we use cookies, contact us at [email protected].
